Vera Wang for David’s Bridal 2012
These dresses will be in stores in February of 2012. Loved Kim Kardashian’s dress? Look no further…Vera has created look alikes of Kim’s dresses. Retail prices start at $1500. I’d say that’s a pretty fair price for a dress designed by Vera.
Today’s Real Wedding: Ashley & Joshua
I had the amazing opportunity of working with Ashley. They will be getting married on May 26th, 2012. Here’s their love story.
How We Met:
Joshua and I were introduced to each other by a mutual friend in High School at lunch back in 2005. Joshua was a 4 year High School Varsity Football Player and I was a Cheerleader. Throughout the next couple weeks we made casual conversation during lunch, which mainly consisted of Joshua telling jokes trying to make me laugh. One day Josh and I were at our High Schools JV football game with our friends and at half time we walked to the concession stand together. On our way back he stoped and asked me “Ashley, would you want to go to Homecoming with me?” Of course I said “Yes!” and we have been together and inseparable ever since. I never knew that that one football game on September 22nd would change my life forever, but I couldn’t be happier! What girl wouldn’t want to spend forever with her best friend and High School sweetheart?
The Engagement:
On our 5 year anniversary (September 22nd) we decided to go out to dinner, like we do for any special occasion. Once we finished dessert and paid, we left and I thought that was the end of our night, but little did I know I was wrong, way wrong! When we got into the car Joshua blindfolded me and told me not to peek! I was a little confused of what we were doing or where he planned on taking me, but I went along with him. When Joshua began driving I knew could tell that we were driving back to where we grew up (which was an hour away from our College), but half way through the drive he completely confused me and I was lost to where we were. I had no idea where we were when he finally stopped the car, but once he put the car in park he got out. He came around and opened my door and we walked for some time while I was still blindfolded. I had no clue where we were or where I was walking to. When I was finally able to take off my blindfold Joshua was there in front of me down on one knee! Needless to say, I WAS IN COMPLETE SHOCK! When I gathered enough nerve to look away from him and look around at where I was I found out that we were at our old High School Football Field. I was standing in the same exact spot that Joshua first asked me to go to Homecoming with him 5 years ago to the day. The stadium lights where on and the stands were completely empty. The only people there was my whole family and his whole family who were there watching and supporting us, which made the moment even more special. Through the tears and shock I gathered enough breath to say “YES!!!” Our families are our rocks and being able for them to share in this special moment in our lives was amazing.
Our whole relationship has revolved around Football from the start. With Joshua playing all throughout High School and at the College level, and me cheering in High School and in College. We began our relationship at a football game, and then our forever truly began on a football field. I am so excited to be getting married to him and starting our lives together as husband and wife. I can’t wait!

Kleinfeld Bridal

Monograms can be used for so many different aspects of your wedding including a personalized runner, your invitations, save-the-dates, etc. They can definitely be costly though. Project Wedding has put together a step-by-step guide on how to create your own monogram through Microsoft Word. Take a look and see how easy it is.
Colors Schemes
Many brides have a difficult time with themes and colors schemes for their weddings. They aren’t sure of what accent colors might go with green, blue, or pink. Take a look at these cake pops. Not only do they look yummy, but the accent colors are also beautiful, brown and white with green. I know plenty of brides that took a trip to Home Depot and walked through the paint sample aisle for hours. This can be a great help. Try it!
