An Engagement Gone Wrong….

A New Mexico man’s attempt to create a storybook marriage proposal didn’t exactly go as planned, when his girlfriend swallowed the diamond engagement ring he’d hidden in her milkshake. It took a trip to the hospital and the X-ray, above, for Kaitlin Whipple to believe her boyfriend, Reed Harris’, tale of what happened. After returning from the hospital, Harris had a second chance to propose. She said yes.

I've got a quick question for hairdo's for the big day - I've got naturally curly (therefore, crazy) hair, and I really want to do something pretty with it! Any suggestions or good places to go for ideas?

I have the same hair type. I’d say go to a salon for an amazing blowout and they can do so much with your hair from there.  It’s easy to wave, do barrel curls, and updo.  The key to your problem is an amazing blow out.

I love love love your blog! As you've probably noticed by all my likes & reblogs. ;) I'm curious what you think about having completely separate themes for a bridal shower & the actual wedding. For example, I'd love to do a beach-themed bridal shower because I love all things nautical, but it would make no sense for me to have a beach-themed wedding as I live in central Louisiana! Would this be considered odd or would no one likely notice/care?

I’m so glad you love the blog! I say go for it. Nobody has ever done anything like that, so why not? Do something that your guests will not expect.

I have always said that your bridesmaids are realistically different sizes and shapes.  Some may be small and petite and other may be curvy or tall.  A dress that may look great on one, may not look great on another. In the picture above, the bride did an amazing job of staying withing her color story and letting each bridesmaid be her own person and still look fabulous and feel comfortable.
