Hi there :) I absolutely ADORE your blog! I wanna be an Event Planner too :) Hoping to Major in it next year!! Anyway, I was wondering if you've ever heard of the Nora Roberts' "The Bridal Quartet". It's about 4 friends who run their own wedding planning business. Each of the four book focuses on one girl and they each do something different (photography, flowers, food, and general planning) You would totally love them <3

Absolutely love your tumblr :) Such good photos and ideas. My friend just got engaged and asked me to be her bridesmaid so this inspired me to look up bridal things and this blog is the best i have found. Thanks all the way from Melbourne, Australia :)

So happy to hear that! Congratulations to your friend and hope she find some inspiration from Laced in Weddings.

I'm recently engaged & we've started the planning! However, there are some issues. We wanted a small ceremony & reception (we had a solid list of 50) & now we're at 100. Because my future mother-in-law is paying for most of it. & she cries when we disagree. I want a DJ, & she's trying to convince us that getting his cousin to run a playlist on an iPod is good enough. I want REAL dishes, & now we're using disposable plates/cups. What do I do? I'm already SO stressed & the wedding is a year away!

Hi there!

First off, Congratulations on your engagement! There are many things to consider here.  It’s great that your mother-in-law is offering to pay for your wedding.  But remember, her son’s and your wedding.  You don’t want to look at your wedding photos 5 years from now, and not be happy.  It’s a special day and you should not be willing to compromise your happiness because she is crying.

Sit down with her and tell her, the money that we are spending on 50 extra people, can give you the money for a DJ or for real plates and silver wear.  Maybe you can decide to let her pay and whatever upgrades you want, you and your fiance can pay.

Take a deep breath. You and your fiance are both in this together, so you BOTH need to talk to her. Good luck & let me know how everything goes.

xoxo

Floral Crowns?

Floral Crowns are becoming a new trend for Spring 2012. I personally love them, but I am also in love with the hippie trend, which may be why I love it. What do you think of them? Should we leave the flower crowns to the flower girls or would this be perfect for an outdoor spring wedding?
